Every springtime I would notice and enjoy the numerous wildflowers. I selected the tiny pink flowers of the Lamium Purpureum (mint family) and painted them first into the painting.
I enjoyed eating the Miners Lettuce and the Redwood Sorrel growing under the Redwood trees. Beautiful blooms of the apple trees in the orchard, as the trees came to life in springtime.
In the distance is Mount St. Helena, an extinct Volcano. Mountain peaks in the Mayacamas Mountains with flanks in Napa, Sonoma, California. It is one of the few mountains in the San Francisco Bay Area to receive any snowfall during the winter.
